Sipping The Day Away
The Teapot
Sipping The Day Away
The Teapot
Not the electrical ones that get plugged into the wall,
But the whistling one,
Where the gas stove did the job.
He’d always ask if I wanted one,
Do you not?
And it was always no,
Because I didn’t understand flavored water.
He’d sip it as soon as it was boiled and soaked,
That noise that the water between his lips made,
He should have copywritten it.
The Teapot, by Sascha Hinz-Pinet
A re-imagined teapot where the boiling water is placed within a ceramic container, which is attached to glass holder to avoid the pot directly burning your hand.
